• Tuesday 1/2/24 – Students first day back at school!

• Friday 1/5/24 – Deadline for all items to be dropped off to
room parents for Candy Bar Bingo baskets.

• Wednesday 1/10/24 – Deadline for room parents to drop
off Candy Bar Bingo baskets to committee.

• Thursday 1/11/24 – Candy Bar Bingo Committee wraps
baskets.

• Friday 1/12/24 – Candy Bar Bingo RSVP’s flyer due back to
school!

• Friday 1/12/24 – Roller Skating at Hot Wheelz 4:15-
6:15pm. Flyer to follow.

• Monday 1/15/24 – NO SCHOOL – Dr. Martin Luther King
Day.

• Wednesday 1/17/23 – PTA Meeting 7pm in the library.

• Friday 1/19/24 – Candy Bar Bingo for the family! 6:30-8pm
$15 per family to play. Flyer with details coming home
soon!

• Sunday – Wednesday 1/21/23-1/25/23 – Dine Out for
January – Cicontes in Marlton. Multiple nights to choose
from! Skip the cooking 1 night and come out to support
DES…they will be giving back 20% to our school!!

November 2023 Dino Dates

 

 Happy November DES Families! 

 

2 more weeks of Recess Runners! It will continue to be on Fridays at recess weather and volunteers permitting. If we do not have enough volunteers to help run the tables, we will have to cancel at the last minute. Please help us keep this fun active tradition going for the kids!!

 

Coming up..

  1. Friday 11/3 – WAWA Hoagie Sale ends. Please return the flyer by 11/3if interested in purchasing coupons.
  2. Friday 11/3 – Recess Runnersthis Friday! Check the sign up genius below to volunteer during your child’s recess. We need you!! Please send your child’s chain/lanyard in with them Friday from last year. Replacement necklaces can be purchased for $1 cash at recess.

  1. Square 1 Art Fundraiser is underway. Catalogs will be coming home this week. Use the following link to search for your child’s artwork.  All orders must be placed by 11/17/23.

Just a reminder if you have signed up to be on a PTA Planning committee or Room parent this year you must be a paid PTA member. All volunteers for PTA events must be a paid PTA member. Hi DES Families!

 

• Friday 10/6 – Recess Runners. Wear your sneakers and bring your lanyard from home!
• Friday 10/6 – Food Coupon Book fundraiser ends. Please send cash/check/Venmo to the PTA or return the book to your room parent in the bag provided if you do not wish to purchase it so we can return to the vendor.
• Friday 10/6 – Spirit Wear fundraiser ends. Please send cash/check/Venmo to the PTA and return the filled-out order form to school with student’s name and teacher on it.

• Monday 10/9 – NO SCHOOL (Teacher in-service)

• Tuesday 10/10 – Pretzel Sale Forms will be coming home.
Tuesday 10/10 – Picture Day!! Orders can be placed online.

• Wednesday 10/11– Dine Out – Skip the cooking and head over to Pats Pizza in Marlton to support DES! Flyer to follow.

• Thursday 10/26 – Glo Gram Sales! Purchase a Glo Stick for your friends at lunch for $2 to use at Trunk or Treat. Sheet to fill out recipients and cut at home will be sent home soon.

• Friday 10/27 – Trunk or Treat 6:30pm – 8:00pm at the Elementary Circle. Flyer with car information to come.
• Tuesday 10/31 –Halloween Parade at 9:15am in front of the school with Class parties following immediately after. More information to come.

Hi DES Families!

 

1. Don’t forget Back to School night is tonight from 6:15-6:45 or 7-7:30. Come meet your child’s teacher and see their classroom! PTA will be selling Pencil Grams for $1 cash only to leave on your child’s desk as a surprise the next morning. We will also have a few cash & carry DES items as well as Spirit Wear samples to view and place through the order form that went home. Stop by our tables!

 

2. Our membership drive is on! Please consider signing up to join the PTA! A portion of your dues goes back directly to the students and staff. We encourage both parents to sign up! Happy Wednesday DES Families!

I believe only 7 more days to go!! Here are a few reminders as we know the end of the year can be a little busy.

 

– Today- 5th grade pool party

 

– Friday 6/9 End of the year class parties

 

– No Recess runners this Friday due to parties and middle school field day.

 

– Monday 6/12- 4th and 5th grade talent show

 

– Tuesday 6/13- Mister Softee visit for grades K-5

 

– Wednesday 6/14- 5th grade picnic & Pancheros Dine Out 4pm-8pm See flyer attached 

 

– Wednesday 6/14, Thursday 6/15 and Friday 6/16 All half days- early dismissal.

 

– Friday 6/16 LAST DAY OF SCHOOL- 5th grade clap out!!! 

 

– Last but not least….school supply kits for next year are available to order now- click here for information to order.

December 2022 Dino Dates

 

Gift Card Orders are due this Friday 12/9- You still have time to purchase them online. They will be here in time for the holidays.

 

Holiday Secret Shop is next week- 12/12-12/16 The PTA will be running a Holiday Secret Shop. Your child can shop for special gifts for family and friends. Please see flyer attached with information and class schedule so you know when your child will be shopping. We will need pta volunteers to help the kids shop and wrap their gifts. Ugly Sweater day- 12/16 Student council will be holding a contest by grade level for the BEST ugly sweater and holiday costume. Prizes will be given!

 

Candy Cane Sale- 12/19 and 12/20 during school lunch- Flyer with candy cane tags will be coming home. Students can fill out their tags at home and bring back to school with their money to purchase and send candy canes to classmates and friends.

 

Winter Class Party- 12/22 @ 2pm Thank you to our room parents for all your hard work and planning of crafts and games for our class party.

 

Holiday Pajama day & PTA caroling in the pods- 12/23 (Half day-early dismissal & pretzel day)– Students are invited to wear their pajamas to school. PTA parents are welcome to join us as we carol around the elementary pods for all the students to enjoy and sing along! Please meet at 12pm outside the elementary office. Festive attire always welcomed! 🙂

 

Winter Recess Begins 12/23……..Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! School reopens Monday, January 2nd.

– Friday 4/11 & 4/13 – Art Goes to School
