December 2024 Dino Dates

 

Hello DES Families!

 

Friday 12/6 – Adopted Families unwrapped donations are due by the end of day. Please remember to put your name and grade taped on the gift to help us know which family.

Monday 12/9 – Holiday Shop Set Up 1:30-3pm

Tuesday 12/10 – Friday 12/13 – Secret Holiday Shop Begins! Students will come with their class to shop for gifts for their families & friends. Please send your child in with a list of whom to shop for/how much per person along with cash or check in an envelope. We will help them stay in budget! 😊 All change will go home in that envelope. Volunteers are greatly needed!

Wednesday 12/11 – (Lauver, Erchick, Petersen, Jefferies)

Thursday 12/12 – (Tarzy, Yearly, Wyzykiewwicz, Barok, Anderson)

Friday 12/13 – (Powell, Jones, Cannon) ** Make Up time for missed Shopping 1-2pm & Clean-up 2-3pm)

Wednesday 12/13 – Dine Out for December is at Chick-fil-a in Marlton 6:30am-8pm (all day)!! Use code DEMASI

Monday 12/16 – Annual Candy Cane Sales at lunch! Please bring your tags filled in and cut to school to pick out the candy canes. Cash only.

Tuesday 12/17 – Annual Candy Cane sales at lunch! Please bring your tags filled in and cut to school to pick out the candy canes. Cash only.

Thursday 12/19 – Ugly Sweater Day! Wear your ugliest or funniest sweater to school. The winners get a prize!

Thursday 12/19 – Winter Holiday Parties 2pm Thank you to our room parents and volunteers for coming in to do this.

Friday 12/20 – 1/2 Half Day. (4th Pretzel Day for those who purchased!) Holiday Pajama Day for students and PTA Caroling through the pods. All parents who are paid PTA members are welcome to participate in caroling. Please meet in the elementary office at 11:30am. Song sheets and musical accompaniment will be provided!

Winter Break begins! Have a wonderful Holiday and Happy New Year!

Holiday Secret Shop

DeMasi Elementary Holiday Secret Shop is Back!

The holiday season is upon us! The PTA will again be running the Holiday Secret Shop! Your child can ‘secretly’ shop for special gifts for family and friends.

See below for the class schedule

*PLEASE SEND YOUR CHILD WITH A LIST OF WHO TO SHOP FOR ALONG WITH CASH OR CHECK IN AN
ENVELOPE WITH THEIR NAME*

Cash and checks are accepted. Please make checks payable to “DeMasi Elementary PTA”. Any change will
be sent back home in your child’s envelope. If a check is written and there is change due, it will be in cash.
PTA parent volunteers will assist students with their shopping, so your child’s purchase will remain a
surprise!

 

Purchases will be gift wrapped and sent home with your child the same day.

Community Care Event

Join us for food and fun. Come support Demasi Elementary School PTA when you order on the mobile app using Code Word: DEMASI.

Hello DES Families!

 

Hope all of you had a great weekend! We have a lot going on in the next 2 weeks. Please read below for updates.

 

Thursday 10/3 – NO SCHOOL!

Friday 10/4 – see below

– Food Coupon Book fundraiser ends. Please send cash/check/Venmo to the PTA with student name to purchase or return the book to your room parent in the bag provided if you do not wish to purchase it so we can return it to the vendor.

– Color run discount registration extended until 10/4. If you didn’t sign up originally you still can!  Or show up on the day of too. Before 10/4 – $15 a runner ($30 max). Day of – $20 a runner ($40 max).

Monday 10/7 – Dine Out at McDonald’s from 5pm – 7pm.

Tuesday 10/8 – Picture Day!! Orders can be placed online.

Wednesday 10/9 – The Color Run and Back to School Water Ice Social is RESCHEDULED at Wellington Field! A flyer went home with all the details. NEW start times to accommodate sundown: K-2nd 5:30pm & 3rd-5th 6:00pm. Wear white and be ready for fun, water ice and dancing to the DJ! **not a drop off event**

Friday 10/11 – Recess Runners! Wear your sneakers & don’t forget your lanyard!

– Pretzel Sale forms for ½ days DUE with student’s name, teacher and $12 cash only.

Wednesday 10/16 – Friday 10/18 – Fall Book Fair (Flyer with info, class schedule days and a sign up to volunteer the day of will come soon)

Monday 10/21 – Tuesday 10/22 – Glow Gram Sales at lunch! Purchase a Glow Stick for your friends at lunch for $2 to use at Trunk or Treat. Flyer coming soon.

– Recess Runners! Wear your sneakers & don’t forget your lanyard!

– Trunk or Treat 6:30pm – 8:00pm at the Elementary Circle. Trick or Treating will be from 6:30-7:30. Flyer with car information to come.

Tuesday 10/31 – Halloween Parade in front of the school and Class parties. More information to come.

Recess Runners 2024-2025

 

Hello DES Families!

 

The kids are so excited it’s back!

DeMasi Elementary PTA is excited to bring back the Recess Runners running program for students! This adds a fun and healthy component to their recess period.

When: Every other Friday Starting September 27th

How: Students that choose to participate will collect a popsicle stick for every lap they run around the soccer field. Once they collect 4 popsicle sticks (1 mile), they can trade them in for a charm. Students can collect a variety of charms to add to their lanyard necklace.

 

Please be sure your child brings their lanyard from last year. Kindergarteners and new students will receive a lanyard on the first day of Recess Runners.

Dine To Donate

Hello DES Families! Join us in Dine to Donate at McDonalds on October 7th!

 

Print THIS VOUCHER, or present on your phone, to the McDonald’s located at 760 W. Route 70 Marlton and 20% of receipt (NIC tax) will be donated to DES PTA on Monday, October 7th from 5-7pm.
